Get To Know Dr. Lance Harris

Hello, my name is Dr. Harris!

I am excited to meet you and gain your confidence and trust as your new dentist. Let me reassure you that you will be treated professionally, ethically, and with compassion. We know that a dental visit is often filled with concern and anxiety. My promise is that we will do everything to ensure your experience at Nordic Family Dental is as comfortable as possible.

My wife and I are proud parents of three beautiful, but mostly crazy, children. We have two daughters, Savannah and Abby, and a son named Wyatt. We have called Poulsbo our home for the past few years and we are excited to be actively involved in the community.

I completed a BS in Biology at BYU and subsequently graduated from the prestigious Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Following dental school, I commissioned in the Navy as a dental officer and served here locally at Bangor and overseas in Okinawa, Japan. I am now a proud Navy veteran.

My dedication to staying up to date with the latest advancements ensures that, whether you need advanced treatment or a routine cleaning, you can trust that your dental care will be delivered with the utmost precision and care. What to Expect: A Stress-Free First Visit

Prior to your appointment, please complete your online forms. If you prefer you can also complete the forms at our office using one of our tablets 15 minutes before your appointment time. Once complete, sit back and relax in our well-appointed waiting room and enjoy some coffee, drinks, or water. From there, one of our assistants will bring you back to one of our modern operating rooms once ready.

We'll start by asking some questions about your concerns and overall goals with your oral health. If advised we'll gather additional information by taking some x-rays. Once complete, one of our doctors will perform a comprehensive oral exam. This includes a review of your x-rays, an oral cancer screening, TMJ exam, and dental exam.

After your comprehensive exam, you'll be seen by one of our professional dental hygienists. Your hygienist will take gum measurements and will clean your teeth to remove plaque and tartar.

If you've got a clean bill of health, all that's left to do is to schedule your next six-month checkup. If the doctors or hygienists noted any issues that need to be addressed, they'll discuss them with you. We want you to be as informed as possible regarding your oral health and we are here to answer any questions you may have. Whatever your unique situation may be, we're here to help.

What To Bring With You

Besides a smile, you don't have to bring much to our office. You should have your insurance card (if applicable) as well as a method of payment if any co-pays or other payments are necessary.

If you have any health conditions or medications that we should be aware of, we also recommend bringing in your health history and a current medication list. This ensures that you'll get the safe, effective dental care you need.
